Medical Updates on Swazi Team

MEDICAL UPDATES FROM THE SWAZI TEAM!!

Below are updates from the Allens concerning the children’s medicals and Lisa Warren’s dad!

We wanted to let everyone know that Lacie and Nathan did have their surgeries this week. Nathan was on Monday (outpatient surgery) and Lacie was on Tuesday. They both did well, although the days were quite long. We both were able to be with Nathan at the hospital as a missionary friend watched Lacie for us at the guest house. Steven stayed back with Nathan for his recovery and Monica went with Lacie for her surgery. Lacie had Coke and Doritos fairly soon after she woke up from her surgery. Not bad for just having her tonsils out. The doctor said her tonsils were huge and did not know how she even swallowed! Both kids have rested well, thanks to good pain meds! :) Nathan is almost back to his usual self.
The plan for now is that Steven and Nathan will return to Swaziland on Friday morning after Nathan gets his Hep A vaccination shot....poor guy! We need to do it on this side as we cannot get the shot in Swaziland. Lacie has a follow-up appointment with her ENT doc on Tuesday late afternoon so hopefully, Monica and Lacie will get medical clearance to return home on Wednesday.

Warren’s update sent Tuesday:
I did just receive an email that the feeding tube was placed in yesterday, and that went well. The doctors also said that his esophagus looked good, and he is talking more and even wanted a hamburger! Praise the Lord, yesterday was a good day!
Warren’s update sent Wednesday:
I have great news to share today ... Daddy passed his tests at Rex, and is now ready to be moved to Bryan T. Aldridge Rehab Center in Rocky Mount (spelling?) this week. They are hoping to move him today, but I have not heard if that happened yet or not. I will send out another update to all our prayer partners once I have details and hear from Mom for sure, but wanted to share this with all of you now!

Thank you for your wonderful prayer support for the Allens and Warrens. Please continue to pray for Nathan and Lacie’s full recovery from their surgeries. For safe travels as the Allen family return home on Friday and Wednesday. Also, continue praying for Lloyd Claiborne’s full recovery from his surgery and stroke last week.
